Board of Directors
Meikles Limited
Block 4 Tendeseka Park
Renfrew Road & Samora Machael
Eastlea South
Harare
Zimbabwe
Dear remaining Members of the Board,
I am writing as a concerned shareholder (Shareholder Number: 450477) regarding the ongoing disputes within Meikles Limited which is now two months old. The recent statement from the Independent Non-Executive Directors, along with their resignation, highlights serious governance issues that are adversely affecting the performance and reputation of our company.
The persistent internal conflicts and the lack of cohesive leadership have created an atmosphere of uncertainty that is detrimental to shareholder confidence and overall company stability. It is imperative that the board recognises the urgency of this situation. The continued squabbles not only hinder effective decision-making but also tarnish the company's image in the eyes of investors and stakeholders.
Given the circumstances, I strongly urge the rest of the board to either resolve these issues immediately or consider resignation. If the current leadership cannot unify and act in the best interests of Meikles Limited, it may be time for a change. We need a board that prioritises transparency, accountability and the welfare of all shareholders, particularly the minority shareholders whose voices are often overshadowed.
I recommend that the board take decisive action to either bring in new leadership capable of fostering a collaborative environment or engage in immediate mediation to resolve existing conflicts. The situation cannot continue as it is, doing so risks further deterioration of the company's performance and long-term viability.
As a shareholder, I am deeply invested in the success of Meikles Limited. I urge you to act swiftly and decisively to rectify these issues for the benefit of all stakeholders.
Thank you for your attention to this urgent matter and will require feedback as soon as possible whatsApp +263772278161.
Sincerely,
Engineer Jacob Kudzayi Mutisi
