The South Africa national women's soccer team, Banyana Banyana are expected to leave South Africa for Zimbabwe today with hopes to defend their Confederations of Southern African Football Associations Women Championships title against Zimbabwe on Saturday.
Banyana will do so without red-hot speedy striker Martha "Gautrain" Mokoma, who was dropped from the squad that was announced last week before she regained her form in the championships, where she scored 11 of the 31 goals scored by the Falcons in six matches.
Regarding Noko "Beep Beep" Matlou's injury, which she incurred at the championships final against the Falcons on Sunday, Banyana team manager Zanele Khanyile said Matlou had fully recovered.
Asked about the possibility of Mokoma getting a late call-up, Khanyile said: " All the selected players are available for the tournament and there is no need for change."
Other countries in Group B with South Africa are Botswana and Tanzania, while Group A comprises hosts Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Malawi and Lesotho.
