The Zimbabwe national team has moved 7 places up the ladder in the latest FIFA Rankings released today and are now in 119th place on the table. This follows a 4 place move in June.

The improvement comes after the team managed to knock out Comoros in the CHAN by a 2 - nil aggregate scoreline. The Warriors also beat Malawi away from home 2 - 1 in a AFCON qualifying match at Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre after travelling from Harare to Malawi by bus. Malawi is ranked in 95th position. Guinea have the best ranking and are in the top 50 in the world sitting on position 45.

At the top of the rankings, World Cup 2014 winners Germany have fallen off top spot with Copa America runners-up Argentina rising two places to claim top spot.

There has been somewhat of a shuffle at the top of the rankings with Romania the surprise inclusion in the Top 10 after rising four places in the latest rankings.

England and Wales round out the Top 10 after rising six and twelve places respectively.

Chile, who ended almost 100 years of Copa America pain by winning the 2015 edition on home soil, rose eight places to sit in eleventh spot on the global rankings.

Algeria (19th) and Ivory Coast (21st), who have both risen on the global rankings, remain first and second on the continental rankings.
