Triangle 1 - 0 Harare City
DAVID "Yogi" Mandigora left Gibbo smiling when he opened his account with a win over Harare City here yesterday.

Midfielder Courage Denias scored the priceless goal in the 65th minute in a drama filled match that saw Harare coach Taurai Mangwiro being ejected from the bench by Masvingo based referee Makonese Masakadza. After the match Mangwiro was the first to go and shake hands with the referee in a demonstration of maturity and sportsmanship. Mandigora said this was just the start he needed.

"It was a good result for us and I am excited. I hope we will continue doing well. This is just the beginning and it's very difficult to comment," said the veteran coach Denias was the hero for the hosts after responding to substitute James Chivasa's move. Denias, Munyaradzi Chiwara, Nhamo and Ralph Kawondera were a marvel to watch as they controlled the proceedings for Triangle.

Martin Vengesai, Honey Chimutimunzeve and Crispen Dickson played their hearts out for City but Ronald "Rooney" Chitiyo was just off colour.

"It was unfortunate we lost today's game. We had done our homework in what we intended to do. My three defenders allowed the guy to turn and score the goal from nowhere," said Mangwiro.

"I would like to apologise to Harare City for being expelled from the bench. I cost my team a game and I could have handled myself in a better way. We could have gone on to win."
