KELVIN Kaindu will be hoping his How Mine side comes to the party this afternoon to stop the Dynamos cruising train that is on a five-match winning streak.
How Mine host the former champions at Barbourfields Stadium hoping to pull off a shocker in a Castle Lager Premier Soccer League encounter that is likely to draw an appreciative crowd.
Today's visit to Bulawayo is Dynamos' fourth this season and the Harare giants will be aiming at making it three wins out of four trips to the City of Kings.
DeMbare were clobbered 0-3 by defending champions Chicken Inn, followed by identical 1-0 wins against Tsholotsho and Bulawayo City.
Dynamos' last defeat was on May 28, a 0-2 loss to bitter rivals Highlanders at Rufaro Stadium.
They are now fourth with 23 points; six behind leaders Caps United who beat Tsholotsho 2-0 at the National Sports Stadium yesterday.
DeMbare can close the gap to three points if they win today, but they mustn't take How Mine lightly as the gold miners are an unpredictable lot, especially when playing against top teams.
How Mine are hard-pressed to end their six-match winless streak. Their last victory was on May 14 when they beat Caps United 2-1 at Luveve Stadium.
Kaindu believes the better team today will win the game and is aware of the influence that Dynamos' supporters will have on the game.
"Obviously at the time we're meeting them, their confidence is high as they are picking points and that also boosts their supporters, who will come in their numbers to rally behind them. A positive thing going into this match is that our team is very much unpredictable because we rise and fall.
When we rise, we play very well and we're hoping that we will be able to rise," said Kaindu.
Unlike Dynamos who have bolstered their squad, How Mine have the same squad that has sometimes struggled, especially in defence. It remains to be seen how their backline will deal with the likes of attacking youngsters King Nasama and Kudzanayi Nyakasaka, as well as seasoned striker Rodrick Mutuma.
The gold miners' hopes in this encounter will be pinned on veteran forwards Godfrey Nguwodzawo, Charles Sibanda and Kuda Musharu.
Munyaradzi Diya may start ahead of Young Warriors' goalkeeper Donovan Bernard, with ex-Dynamos defender Qadr Amini, Praise Tonha, Tapiwa Kumbuyani, Victor Kamhuka, Kudzai Chideu and Marshal Machazane all competing for starting places in defence.
