Ariana Resources (AIM: AAU) has released a materially upgraded pre‑feasibility study (PFS) for its Dokwe Gold Project in Zimbabwe, reporting a project net present value of more than £1 billion and a 42 percent increase in ore reserves to 1.13 million ounces.
The updated study outlines a post‑tax NPV of US$740 million, an internal rate of return of 56 percent, and projected average annual gold production of about 136,000 ounces. The company also reported a low life‑of‑mine all‑in sustaining cost of US$1,685 per ounce.
Ariana said the revised PFS supports a scalable, low‑capital development strategy, with first production targeted for 2028.
Managing director Kerim Sener said the updated study "yields excellent metrics" and demonstrates the "significant potential" of the Dokwe project as the company transitions toward becoming a long‑term gold producer.
The company said the combination of improved economics, increased reserves and a favourable gold price environment strengthens the project's development outlook.
Ariana added that further updates will be provided as the project advances toward the next stages of development.
