JOHANNESBURG - The Bulawayo based isicathamiya outfit Indosakusa: The morning star, formerly known as Impumelelo Shining Stars left Johannesburg in stitches after dishing out a stunning performance at Hillbrow theatre, on Saturday afternoon.

The album itself is the group's tenth offering and derives its title from the group's new name Indosakusa, following the rebranding phase.

The stage act featured groups like Chosen Brothers and Inkanyezi Zezulu, who also lived up to the expectations as they dished out fireworks after fireworks.

Following a sold out show in Bulawayo and the scramble for Cds in Johannesburg the group was further delighted by the turnout despite the weather conditions of the day.

"We are happy that fans have responded positively by buying tickets and coming out in numbers despite the heavy rains .We believe God is in it, there is light ahead, we see ourselves as gospel messengers, hence our new name which is also the album title suggests a morning star that announces the dawn of sunrise and we believe we are just that," the group leader Oscar Siziba said.

The 13 tracks package was enough to quench the thirst of Johannesburg community which have gone for a protracted drought.

"Seeing Indosakusa on stage was a relief, it made me forget about the current economic situation in Zimbabwe and resentment in South Africa, the dedication and creativity they have is something else. To me they are a force of resilience and an example of cultural excellence," commented one of the fans based in Johannesburg by the name Thembani Ndlovu.

After the performance some well- wishers donated more than R5000-00 in hard cash as a token of appreciation, something that is now rare in Johannesburg.

Commenting on the general hospitality of Johannesburg based community Siziba had this to say: "I am very much pleased to be here again, infact Johannesburg has become our second home, every time we are here we get some warm welcome not only from the fans and families but also from fellow musicians and they are always willing to back us up on stage without demanding anything, I believe our messages have a spiritual touch and we shall continue striving to heal the souls, pray for peace and also entertain more."
