The old adage, it never rains but pours seems to be the apt way to describe events unfolding in the MDC faction led by Welshan Ncube as the party continues to lose its influential members.
On Saturday, seven members in the party's youth provincial leadership structures crossed the floor to join the Dumiso Dabengwa-led Zapu citing a bleak future.
This was preceded by the recent departure of party national spokesperson Nhlanhla Dube who quit his position and resigned from the party and barely a month after two top officials- secretary-general Priscilla Misihairambwi-Mushonag and vice chairman Frank Chamunorwa stepped aside from their position.
Another youth leader, Francis Mufambi who also quit recently described Ncube as a dictator.
The seven youths were officially paraded at the newly-opened Zapu offices in the city where they were welcomed by the provincial leadership.
While announcing their new political ties, the youths took a dig at Ncube whom they accused of having diverted from the real founding principles of the party.
