Harare Residents Trust said the City of Harare finally resisted to relocate the Pomona dumpsite despite calls made by environmentalist and other stakeholders.
"The Pomona dumpsite has been a problematic child to residents in North and North-Western suburbs of Harare.Constant fire outbreaks at Pomona dumpsite shows the inability of the Council to adequately manage the dumpsite. It has became a health threat to residents in Mount Pleasant,Marlborough, Avondale and Avonlea."
