The Zimbabwe Republic police traffic department have continued to work on their roadblocks despite the heavy rains and being experienced daily.
Yesterday at around 2pm, about eight cops at Mazowe station were in their rain suits standing in the heavy rains and stopping almost every car.
"Our duty is to get money from motorist and surrender to our bosses. If we do not do that we will be in hot soup as we work with a targeted figure that is why we are eight here to reach the required figure," said one of the cops who seemed to be the team leader.
Drivers are complaining because they feel the police force is very serious in taking money from them but there is no effort in filling the potholes that have continued to plague the Zimbabwean roads.
Some traffic cops around Zimbabwe have been accused of corruption.
