A RUWA man says the woman he was cohabiting with is not his wife and he wants her to move out of his house even though they sired children together.
Shepard Mushipe also told the court that if Talent Chagadama wants to continue staying in his house, she has to comply with his instructions or else he will continue assaulting her.
"Your Worship, she wants to use the court's order so that she would not listen to my instructions.
"We were just cohabiting but she is not my wife although we sired children together.
"I want her to move out of my house or else I will not take care of our children.
"If she wants to continue staying in my house, she has to comply with my orders but if she does not, I will continue assaulting her," he said.
In response, Chagadama said:
"I cannot move out of the house because I also contributed to its construction.
"He must stop assaulting me or chasing me out of our matrimonial home."
Presiding magistrate Amanda Muridzo granted the protection order in Chagadama's favour and ordered Mushipe not to harass her anymore.
