Villagers fined for beating up man over snatching of wife

Some villagers in Kezi have been fined $100 for beating up a man they accused of snatching another villager's wife.
They also accused him of spilling their beer.
Kezi Magistrate Jimmy Ntonga fined Walter Sainsali (27), Complete Ndlovu (24), Phathisani Ndlovu (20) , Sipho Ncube (29) Sipho Phiri (34) and Makesure Mutami (31) $100 with an option of 60 days in jail.
Court was told that on April 19 Fortune Ncube (29) was at Phakama bottle store in Matobo drinking beer where the six villagers were also drinking.
They had a dispute as the villagers accused Ncube of spilling their beer and snatching another man's wife.
They beat him up with logs and tore his T Shirt, shoes and also smashed his mobile phone.
Ncube reported the matter to the police leading to their arrest.
They also accused him of spilling their beer.
