Former Herald editor and columnist for The Financial Gazette, Bornwell Chakaodza has died.
Chakaodza, who is also a former Director of Information died on Wednesday morning at St Annes Hospital after a long battle with cancer that saw him receive chemotherapy treatment from South Africa.
His death comes barely a few weeks after he was in talks with the Media Institute of Southern Africa Zimbabwe to publish his memoirs.
Chakaodza was also a board member of the Voluntary Media Council of Zimbabwe and a revered journalism trainer.
More details on his funeral arrangements are expected later on but mourners are gathered at his Sunridge home in Harare.
