A sexual enhancement charm which is being showcased by a traditional healer at the ongoing Sanganai/Hlanganani-World Tourism Expo in Bulawayo has caused a stir as people are trooping to his stand to get to know more about the charm.

Dubbed 'chituru chegudo', Sekuru Soko, born John Chapepa, hopes to maximise on the sexual enhancement charm at the expo which he claims is one of his most sort after products even by international buyers.

"Chituru chegudo works wonders on men, kungoisa mumazondo zvobva zvashanda. Ndakabva nacho Mberengwa and people who have used it always come back for more.

"People are already coming to my stand to enquire and most get my contacts so that they can get in touch and even come home," he said.

Selling for US$5, the product is also used for luck, cleansing of evil spirits and Sekuru Soko, who is exhibiting at the expo for the second time, hailed the expo for linking him to both local and international buyers.

"People want it for its main function which is sexual enhancement but it also works wonders on cleansing and luck.

"My first time to exhibit was last year and I realised that it is a good opportunity to link with clients while marketing products. I'm glad to be back this year and I'm positive that I will get more buyers.

"Some of the buyers I met last year from Europe visit me at my Chitungwiza base every time they are in Zimbabwe and they have given me good business."

Sekuru Soko, during a small to medium enterprises workshop which was held on the sidelines of the Sanganai/Hlanganani, also urged other exhibitors to make use of the expo, and take advantage of the opportunity to meet with buyers.

"I hope you not expecting to go back with money right away from this expo by selling products during the expo. This is an opportunity to link and market your products and buyers will always make follow upS on good products.

"Please do use this opportunity wisely and best position yourselves and your products," he argued.

Meanwhile Finance and Economic Development Minister Patrick Chinamasa will officially open the expo which began on 27 September and runs until October 01 this Friday.
Street carnival by local schools and churches set the ball rolling for the Tourism Day and Sanganai/Hlanganani.

The Finance Minister will set the tone for the five day event which runs funder the theme: "Africa's Premier Business' with over 300 exhibitors that will showcase more than 200 international buyers.

The 10th edition of the expo is being held at a time when the country joined the rest of the world to mark the International Year of Sustainable Tourism for Development, which seeks to position tourism to contribute to all three dimensions of sustainable development; economic, social and environmental.

The fair replaced Shanyai/Vakatshani, the Zimbabwe International Travel Expo (ZITE) that was held annually at the Harare International Conference Centre. ZITE started as a small expo in 1982 and grew over the years to become one of Africa's leading tourism showcases by 2007.
