The war veterans and social groups in Zimbabwe have planned a massive march involving everyone in the country to be staged in solidarity with the military for a swift transition of power and calls for President Robert Mugabe to step down.
The march come amid the military on Wednesday placed Mugabe under house arrest and arrested some of his ministers they regarded as criminal around him.
The military commander General Constantino Chiwenga on Thursday spent better party of the day holed in at State House with the President in a Sadc facilitated negotiation where the military was calling for Mugabe's exit. But indications are that the agreement reached is that he can only do so after the congress of Zanu PF in December much to the chagrin of millions of citizens who hoped that a new dawn with a new leader for the country had arrive.
Following the leaked indications of the said agreement, War veterans faction led by Christopher Mutsvanga and social groups have started mobilizing all Zimbabweans to join in a march which will start at Mugabe Square in Harare to State House on Saturday 18 November.
A notice and invite for the citizens circulating in the social media reads, "calling on all comrades. You are invited to join us as we march to show our gratitude and appreciation to the Zimbabwe Defence Forces for safeguarding our values and restoration of order in our country."
The war vets have come out clear calling for Mugabe to step down. Also MDC-T leader Morgan Tsvangirai called for Mugabe to quit just for the sake of suffering citizens but according to information received it appears the president is only concerned about power, self, family and nothing else.
