The new president of Zimbabwe Emmerson Mnangagwa has so far shown signs that he might not be the same as his predecessor Robert Mugabe who used to push people aside.
A Zimbabwe based Al Jazeera reporter Haru Mutasa said, via Twitter, "#Zimbabwe President Mnangagwa walked past me today in his way to meet a Chinese business delegation. He politely smiled, greeted me and other journos. We are so used to being pushed aside by Mugabe's security."

Media guru, Trevor Ncube responded to Mutasa's tweet saying "some in the international community don't understand why we are so giddy. But then they never experienced our suffocating repression. Exhaling and inhaling never felt so liberating. And yes we are not blind to the risks."#Zimbabwe President Mnangagwa walked past me today in his way to meet a Chinese business delegation. Some in the international community don't understand why we are so giddy. But then they never experienced our suffocating repression. Exhaling and inhaling never felt so liberating. And yes we are not blind to the risks. #Zimbabwe
