The future of a six-year-old girl from Chibuwe in Chipinge, whose leg was amputated when she was only six months old, looks bleak without public support as she walks four kilometres to and from school on a wooden makeshift leg.
Nyasha Razawo was born in 2011 with a bent limp with nine toes or a malformation of the left leg and double foot called langenital polydactyly.
Since the amputation of her leg, Nyasha's poor family, with the help of villagers, has been making a wooden support leg to help her walk as the family could not afford buying an artificial leg costing about $2500.
Nyasha's parents; Angeline Maphosa and John Razawo spoke of the difficult situation affecting their daughter and appealed for well-wishers to help by providing an artificial leg.
They also appealed for assistance for their daughter to go to a boarding
school since she is currently walking a total of four kilometres daily to attend lessons.
The young Nyasha said she has ambitions to become just like any other professional worker.
Those who wish to assist the family can get hold of Nyasha's parents on 0779 556 297.
