State propaganda suggests 80% registered voters are from rural areas - Analyst

A political analyst Pedzisai Ruhanya has said the ZBC's claims that 80 percent that are registered as voters so far are from rural areas need to be analyses as it could be the work of Zanu PF to parrot and set an agenda for electoral manipulation.

"The state television and radio assertion that 80% of registered voters are from rural areas requires statistical analysis of that data because Zanu PF could be parroting and setting the agenda for electoral manipulation while people let this go.

"Zimbabwe Election Support Network and Election Resource Centre should take us through the Biometric Voter Registration patterns to avoid state propaganda masquerading as facts," he said.

"These are issues civil society and the opposition should swiftly address; hire mathematicians and statistics academics from our array of universities to help unravel this in simple terms.

"That is the roles of National University of Science and Technology, University of Zimbabwe, Midlands State University production and reproduction of ideas; data dis-aggregation."
