Primary school teacher accused of practicing 'Satanism'
10 Jan 2018 at 09:55hrs | Views
Trelawney Primary School in Zvimba South has failed to open for the school first term of 2018 as parents demand the transfer of a teacher alleged to be practicing Satanism.
A Satanism scare hit the school during the last week of the third term last year, prompting parents to stage a demonstration calling for the alleged teacher's transfer.
The allegations saw pupils purporting that they saw a snake enter the hand bag of the teacher while others claimed their faces changed form upon contact with the said teacher.
Now the parents have taken a decision to withdraw their children from the school until the suspected Satanist leaves the institution.
A team from the provincial education directorate was expected to visit the school this Wednesday for a fact finding mission after which they will map a way forward.
