Woman assaults step daughter

A Harare woman allegedly assaulted her six-year-old step daughter over a soiled undergarment.
Fraurine Radoka, 21, appeared before the Harare magistrate Milton Serima and she was not asked to plead to the crime of ill-treating or neglect of children and young persons.
It is the State's case that on February 13, the complainant went to school and soiled her undergarment because she had no toilet paper.
When she arrived home, the accused, Fraurine beat the minor using an electric cable, cooking stick and bare hands on several occasions.
It is alleged that Fraurine is also in the habit of assaulting the complainant.
The matter came to light when a neighbour reported the matter to the complainant's mother about the abuse.
The case was reported to the police and the victim was sent for medical examination.
