RETIRED top military bosses Perence Shiri and Sibusiso Moyo have both secured seats in the country's upper house of assembly enhancing chances of their possible return to government as cabinet ministers, the New Zimbabwe reported.
Shiri is former commander of the Air Force who has been elected as a senator for Mashonaland Central.
Moyo, on his part, almost became a celebrity soldier when he appeared on screen November 15 last year to announce the military seizure of government from then state leader Robert Mugabe.
On his retirement, Shiri was appointed Agriculture Minister while Moyo became Foreign Affairs Minister but the two were not among members of parliament from which the State leader could choose his ministers.
They can now be easily drafted into cabinet if the President so wishes.
