One to resolve election impasse objectively will be Zimbabwe's celebrated hero

Political analyst Pedzisai Ruhanya has said any person who will be in a position to objectively resolve the election impasse following the disputed 2018 elections will be celebrated as a hero.

MDC Alliance is disputing Emmerson Mnangagwa's victory indicating that Nelson Chamisa is the legitimate winner.

"He who wholeheartedly makes decisions between NC and ED with the democratic interests, peaceful, violent free to the resolution of the current ZEC inspired impasse will have his name written for eternity in Zim's history. To Chamisa, find ways to assure the peace loving people of Zimbabwe that you will work with them daily and give them hope for the future," Ruhanya said.

"They have made you proud, you have made them proud and they trust you. Your votes though bastardised are unparalleled in our contemporary history and possibly regional politics. Go back to your people and communities and show them love and thank them. Refuse to be seduced into confrontation that gives the system an opportunity to temper with people's lives. No court will change what has happened. You are the winner in the court of public opinion, the voters. Let them be!"
