Prominent Ndebele Chief dies in South Africa

Chief Albert Gumede the induna/traditional leader of Ndebeles in South Africa has died

Gumede who was a man whose philanthropic inclinations died due to high blood pressure which the cause has not been revealed yet.

In a statement issued by the General Secretary of the Zimbabwe Communist Party Ngqabutho Mabhena Chief Gumede told his family that he was feeling cold and requested tobe taken to the hospital where he passed on.

Here below is the statement from Mabhena.

According to family members, ubaba uGumede spent the day in his shop in Yeoville yesterday as usual. He left the shop at around 9pm, driving himself to his Houghton home. Upon arrival at home, he watched TV as he normally does after a days work. While watching TV , he told his family members that he was feeling cold and asked for a heater to be put on. Later he told them that he was not feeling well and asked to be taken to hospital. Upon arrival at the hospital, the doctor attended to him and said his blood pressure had gone up. Minutes later while other family members were on their way to hospital, he passed on.He passed on around mid night. May his soul rest in peace.
