Bulawayo Deputy Mayor Tinashe Kambarami is reported to have teamed up with   ward 28 losing Councillor Collet Ndlovu to block some MDC Youths from accessing a Ward 16 Congress venue on Tuesday.

Ndlovu is the Luveve District Deputy Chairperson.

Reporting on the matter Ward 16 Secretary for Elections Abel Dube said, "Chaos prevailed once again in Gwabalanda today (Tuesday) due to youths being not allowed to go inside the designated Venue, a house owned by former ZRP Law and Order Constable Malusi Fuyana, the Outgoing Ward Chairperson.

"The electoral process was being conducted by Former Councillor Collet Ndlovu his son Masiza Ndlovu, Former Ward 16 councillor Nephat sibanda who is the district chair and her daughter Samkeliso."

Dube said Ndlovu had brought his bouncers to vet the voting delegates.

"The process couldn't go on due to the fact that Mr Collet Ndlovu's bouncers who work for him at his Cowdray Park bar (mahweba) were the ones vetting people and disallowed the youth led by Wayne Mpala and Leo Phiri from entering the voting venue.

"After half of the delegates were called in, Deputy Mayor Tinashe Kambarami, who was recently found guilty of threatening violence on people, arrived in the company of Takunda Madzana and Pashor Sibanda and instructed the Collet's security to block the youths from voting and this resulted in Ward youth chair and his troops to forcefully push the gate and enter Fuyane's yard in their large numbers.

"The youths were upset due to the fact that, they can't be disallowed to vote in their ward by a person who just got 221 votes and lost an election to ZANU PF and being commanded by beerhall security in their own ward." Dube added.

There have been reports of chaos in some MDC Ward congresses held across the country with some cases reported to have turned bloody.
