Zimbabwean motorbike thieves arrested in Mozambque

Two Harare men who stole a motorbike and crossed to the neighbouring Mozambique were finally nabbed while selling the stolen property valued at $5000.
Kudzai Nyamakava (46) and Makusha Kure (32) both from Epworth Harare were arrested and brought to Guruve court where they were slapped with two year jail term by magistrate Shingirai Mutiro.
Public prosecutor Spiwe Makarichi told the court that on 5 April 2019 around 11pm in Kanyemba, Mashonaland Central province, the convicts hatched a plan to steal a red CTX motorbike belonging to a Non-Governmental Company.
The duo succeeded in their plan and went away unnoticed, after a week the police received a tip off that the two were selling the stolen bike in Mozambique.
A trap was conducted leading to the arrest of the two, the bike was recovered but they had sold its battery.
Mutiro suspended six months on condition of good behaviour and the remaining 42 months are effective.
