Biker in head-on collision with car, dies on the spot

A 33-year-old Concession man who was riding a motorcycle died on the spot after a head-on collision with a car being driven by a Chinhoyi white man along Mazowe-Nyabira road.
Mashonaland Central Police Acting Spokesperson Assistant Inspector Naison Dhliwayo confirmed the sad incident that happened last week Friday.
"The accident happened at around 1800hrs, at the 24km peg along the Mazowe-Nyabira road and the car was being driven by Luke Rutter (29) of Chinhoyi.
The blue unregistered motorcycle was being ridden by Moses Sande (33) of Hillgrew farm, Concession," he said.
Rutter was travelling towards Mazowe with no passengers aboard while Sande was riding solo in the opposite direction.
On approaching the 24km peg, the motorcycle encroached onto Rutter's lane resulting in a head-on collision.
The car was not seriously damaged while the motorcycle was extensively damaged.
Sande died on the spot as he had sustained brutal body injuries.
The police are urging all drivers to pay maximum attention while driving on the road to avoid accidents.
