RUSHINGA legislator Tendai Nyabani (ZANU) has been summoned by Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission today to answer to allegations of a private timber company (Vira Vika) which was reportedly allocated a "dubious" tender by Rushinga District Council.
Bulawayo24.com is reliably informed that Home Affairs Minister Kazembe Kazembe is behind Nyabani's probing by ZACC after he exposed Kazembe at a ZANU PF Provincial Coordinating Committee (PCC) of his plan to bribe Members of Parliaments in the province to back him so that he regains his chairmanship.
Although Rushinga District Council is in a better position to answer to the allegations leveled against them Nyabani has been on the receiving end.
Nyabani clearly denied Kazembe's plan to rig his way back to the chairmanship yet the Minister is working hard to get him punished for rebelling against the party's chairman.
However, Vira Vika has been harvesting timber in Rushinga and reportedly exporting the timber to China is paying royalty fees to Forestry Commission at USD33 per cubic meter of timber they harvest.
