Police in Mvuma, Midlands Province, are investigating the discovery of a 14-year-old boy's body, which was found with missing body parts in what is suspected to be a ritual murder.
Midlands provincial police spokesperson, Inspector Emmanuel Mahoko, confirmed the grim discovery of the body of Ronald Dehwe, whose remains were found on Friday last week in a bushy area in Village 14 Mavise, Mvuma.
The body was discovered by Maxwell Mpofu, a 24-year-old man from Plot 10 Palgrave in Mvuma, who was searching for his goats. According to Mahoko, the body showed signs of foul play and was missing its eyes, ears, and private parts, leading police to suspect a ritualistic motive.

Inspector Mahoko has appealed to anyone with information related to the teenager's death to come forward and assist with the investigation.
In a separate incident on the same day, a man from Chirumanzu was killed in a violent altercation over a commercial sex worker. The deceased, Casper Mhari, was drinking beer at the Madzipezano homestead in the Driefontein area with two other men, Evans Shoniwa (36) and Marshal Shiri (33).
A disagreement erupted over a woman, and during the confrontation, Shiri grabbed a log and struck Mhari three times on the head. Mhari fell unconscious and was rushed to Muonde Hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
Mahoko confirmed that police have launched a manhunt for Marshal Shiri, the suspect in the fatal attack.
Both incidents have raised concerns within the community, with local authorities urging residents to be vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the police.
