BINDURA - Police in Mashonaland Central are appealing for public assistance after human remains were discovered in a field near Ezekiel Guti University.
The remains were found on 26 November by local farmer Patrick Musa, who was ploughing his peri‑urban plot located approximately 600 metres from the university’s durawall.
According to police, the bones were scattered, with no flesh or clothing, and have since been taken to Bindura Mortuary for safekeeping.
“We urge anyone with a missing relative or any information that may assist in the identification of the deceased or in establishing the circumstances surrounding the death to urgently report to ZRP Bindura or the nearest police station,” said Assistant Inspector Chigwenhese.
The discovery has raised concern in the community, and investigations are ongoing to determine the identity of the deceased and the cause of death.
