Sungura Godfather Nicholas Zacharia Dies

CHITUNGWIZA - The Sungura music fraternity has been plunged into mourning following the death of legendary musician Nicholas "Madzibaba" Zacharia, popularly known as the Sungura Godfather.
Zacharia, affectionately called the Senior Lecturer for his role in mentoring fellow artists, passed away this morning after battling diabetes. His management confirmed the sad news.
Zacharia rose to prominence as a founding member of Kiama Boys, where he worked alongside the King of Sungura, Alick Macheso, shaping the genre’s sound and influence across Zimbabwe.
Mourners have already gathered at his Chitungwiza home to pay their respects.
