Guruve villagers gripped by fear after brutal killings

GURUVE - Villagers in Guruve District are living in fear following a spate of gruesome murders in the area.
On Thursday night, a mother and her child were killed in cold blood at Nyamaka Farm 88.
According to a witness, the pair were attacked by several people armed with catapults.
"Another sad incident happened at Nyamaka Farm, Guruve. Two people were killed by assailants using catapults. They fled into the bush and when police arrived the deceased were lying on the ground," said the witness.
Mashonaland Central police spokesperson Inspector Milton Mundembe confirmed the case, saying investigations are underway.
"It is true the incident happened and police is already on the ground investigating the matter," Mundembe said.
The attack comes barely a week after a family of five was murdered at Ona Mapeto area, deepening fears among villagers.
