Suspected drug dealer arrested at Plumtree border with dagga

PLUMTREE - A 37‑year‑old man from Botswana was arrested on Christmas Day after he allegedly attempted to enter Zimbabwe through the Plumtree Border Post carrying dagga.
Exodus Moyo was found with a bag containing five sachets of dagga during a routine search by border authorities. He was immediately taken into custody.
Moyo appeared before Plumtree magistrate Joshua Nembaware, who remanded him in custody to 7 January.
According to the State, led by prosecutor Sheila Nyathi, Moyo entered the country on 25 December and was intercepted during screening at the border. Officers recovered 35 grammes of dagga from his bag.
He is expected to return to court for further proceedings.
