PRESIDENT Mnangagwa on Sunday attended Zanu-PF National Cell Day commemorations at Dambudzo 1 Cell at Pricabe Farm in Kwekwe, as the ruling party intensified efforts to strengthen its grassroots structures.

The Zanu-PF First Secretary arrived at the venue at around 11am and sat through proceedings led by Dambudzo 1 Cell group chairperson Liberty Siziba. The programme centred on membership recruitment, verification and the updating of the party's database as part of broader organisational reforms.

The commemorations were held under the theme "Advancing Vision 2030 through Vibrant Cell Structures," underscoring the party's emphasis on strong grassroots mobilisation as a foundation for national development.

During the exercise, President Mnangagwa personally participated at the local level to ensure that he is a registered and verified member of Dambudzo 1 Cell. He told those gathered that his presence was meant to allow him to listen directly to the cell leadership.

"I have come to listen to the chairperson of the cell," the President said.

The event also drew members from Dambudzo 2 and Dambudzo 3 cell groups, who came to support Dambudzo 1 Cell, which is also home to the First Lady, Amai Auxillia Mnangagwa, and other members of the First Family.

Across the country, Zanu-PF cell groups simultaneously undertook similar restructuring and verification exercises as part of National Cell Day, reinforcing the party's drive to consolidate its structures from the lowest level upwards.
