CABS glitch shocks customers with 'billion-dollar' deposits

SOME CABS Zimbabwe customers were left stunned after receiving text messages reflecting deposits of up to US$1 billion in their bank accounts.

The unusual incident saw clients receiving alerts indicating massive and unexpected balances.

One of the affected clients, identified as Mbuya Matarutse from Jeche area (Ward 28), said she was left in disbelief after receiving a message from CABS Zimbabwe indicating that her account had been credited with more than US$1 billion and about ZiG1 billion.

A few hours later, CABS Zimbabwe sent another message to customers apologising for the error and said it was working to fix the issue.
