The Zimbabwe Human Rights Monitors Platform has reported that police blocked a consultation meeting on Constitutional Amendment No. 3 that had been scheduled for 21 March in Norton.
According to the organisation, police forced the cancellation of the meeting, which had been organised by Norton legislator Richard Tsvangirai, thereby undermining residents' right to participate in public affairs.
"Police should facilitate, not obstruct, public engagement," the platform said.
