Hit‑and‑run victim goes two months unidentified

Police in Mashonaland Central Province are appealing for help to identify a man who died at the scene of a hit‑and‑run accident on 23 February along the Mvurwi–Kanyemba Road.
The man is believed to be about 26 years old.
Mashonaland Central Deputy Police Spokesperson Assistant Inspector Lucy Chingwenhese confirmed the development in a statement.
“The Zimbabwe Republic Police, Mashonaland Central Province, is appealing for help to identify a man believed to be 26 years old who died in a hit‑and‑run accident on 23 February along the Mvurwi–Kanyemba Road. He sustained fatal head injuries and died on the scene. His body is at Mvurwi Hospital mortuary and no relatives have been found. Anyone with information is urged to contact Mvurwi Traffic Police Station. Photographs are available and can be provided upon request to assist with identification,” the statement read.
