Organisers of the National Education Summit Zimbabwe (NESZ) 2026 have announced a change of venue for the annual gathering, with the event now set to take place at Lakeside Events Centre in Woolandel, Bulawayo.
The four-day summit, scheduled for May 27 to 30, had initially been expected to be hosted at the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair grounds.
Organisers said the summit will instead be held at Lakeside Events Centre, located along Plumtree Road after Mbokodo Abattoirs.
In a statement, organisers said the venue change was aimed at enhancing the overall experience for delegates, exhibitors, policymakers, academics and industry leaders expected to attend from across Zimbabwe and beyond.
"We look forward to welcoming you to an engaging and impactful summit experience. All other event details remain unchanged," the statement said.
The summit is organised by Action for Empowerment Zimbabwe (AEZ) and Business Diary in partnership with Zimbabwe's Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education.
The event has grown into one of Zimbabwe's leading education dialogue platforms and is expected to bring together key stakeholders to discuss innovation, investment and policy transformation in the education sector.
Alson Darikayi, president of AEZ, said preparations for the summit were progressing smoothly, with registration and exhibition bookings continuing as planned.
NESZ 2026 is expected to attract government officials, education experts, development partners, school authorities, tertiary institutions and private sector players focused on shaping the future of education in Zimbabwe.
