THE Zimbabwe National Chamber of Commerce (ZNCC) has announced the death of its Manicaland Regional Manager, Perpetual Guwila, who passed away on Tuesday morning at Parirenyatwa Group of Hospitals.
In a statement, the organisation said Guwila died on May 27, 2026, describing her passing as a great loss to both the chamber and the broader business community she served for more than two decades.
"It is with profound sadness that we announce the untimely passing of our dear colleague Perpetual Guwila, Regional Manager, Manicaland, who passed away this morning, May 27, 2026," read part of the statement.
Guwila was a long-serving member of the ZNCC secretariat and played a key role in programmes aimed at promoting private sector development and economic growth, particularly within Manicaland Province.
Over her more than 20-year tenure, she worked closely with businesses across different sectors, supporting initiatives designed to strengthen commercial activity and enterprise development.
The ZNCC described her as a committed professional whose work significantly contributed to advancing economic engagement between the private sector and stakeholders.
"She will be remembered for her professionalism, dedication to advancing economic progress and positivity," the organisation said.
The chamber said her death had created a significant void within the institution and among stakeholders who interacted with her in her professional capacity.
Funeral arrangements are expected to be announced in due course.
