The MDC-T has withdrawn its constitutional application in which it was seeking the court to nullify the special vote.
In the notice of withdrawal, the MDC-T did not cite reasons behind its latest move.
The MDC-T filed the application after the Constitutional Court ruled that all members of the uniformed forces who failed to vote in the special vote day be accorded an opportunity on the 31st of July together with the rest of the nation.
In their application, the MDC-T sought the court to nullify the special vote and order that those who were supposed to vote on the special vote do so together with the rest of Zimbabweans.
The MDC-T was arguing that the special vote was marred with irregularities.
The new constitution put in place the special vote to cater for people who will be on national duty on the day of elections.
