Citizenship land marking ruling

Zimbabwe's ConCourt yesterday delivered a landmark ruling that will positively affect millions of citizens with foreign parentage.

The full bench of the highest court in the land was presiding over a case in which Farai Daniel Madzimbamuto son to liberation war hero Daniel Madzimbamuto and a South African mother was challenging the constitutionality of the country's statutes that define citizens with one foreign parent as aliens.

The ruling was by Justice Vernanda Ziyambi in favour of Madzimbamuto.
