Reality television lovebirds Pokello Nare and Elikem "The Tailor" Kumordzie married traditionally in Harare over the weekend where the Ghanaian is rumoured to have paid $16,000 bride price.

Nare, a popular socialite from a leaked adult tape, met The Tailor on Big Brother Africa (BBA) two years ago and announced that she was no longer interested in her local boyfriend, Desmond "Stunner" Chideme on television. Many criticised the beauty for humiliating Stunner whom she had featured with in an adult tape.

A year after dating, Kumordzie took their relationship a step further and shocked many when he proposed to Nare on television during a music awards ceremony in Ghana. Since then, the two have had to renew their passports several times as they are constantly on the road, travelling to visit each other. Prior to the traditional wedding, the two had met each other's parents.

Last weekend's proceedings, which were for the first time in their relationship conducted off television, served as a testament of the lovebirds' commitment to each other.

There are pictures which have gone viral on social media networking sites where Kumordzie's family is captured seated on the floor, negotiating. Pokello and female family members are also seen on the other side sitted, following proceedings.

Sources close to the development said after the proceedings at Pokello's family home had been complete, the couple and their families proceeded to celebrate their nuptials at a private function in Harare where they were joined by close friends.

Though she could not be reached for comment, Pokello posted an image holding hands with her beau captioned: "And the two shall become one."

Immediately after news of the marriage was announced, fans of the couple took to Facebook to shower praises on the couple.

"He (Elikem) took his time to know her. It's a very important period a lot of us take for granted and regret for the rest of our lives in a marriage or after a failed marriage.

"I hope they stop listening to the media and listen to each other and focus on what matters in their marriage. People should not get married to impress others but it has to be for themselves. Good luck," posted Noel Dube.

Some seemed to be in disapproval of the marriage: ". . . damn, didn't he see the gross p*rn of her and Stunner," questioned Robin Parere.

"Was he given a discount because she is a second hand from Stunner," questioned another Nkechiwe Mukuli.

Their relationship has not been free from controversy as a rumour that Kumordzie had impregnated a fellow designer in Ghana once did the rounds on social media networking sites causing tension between the couple. As if that was not enough, the two at one point decided to call it quits after Pokello accused Elikem's ex-flame, Gloria Lamptey, of constantly meddling in their relationship.

Many doubted their relationship saying it wouldn't last because of the long distance, Pokello's adult tape with Stunner, her son and their different cultures among many other things.

But, the lovers seem undeterred, weathering the storm with a white wedding on the cards.

It remains to be seen where the two will settle as Pokello has highlighted that she is not much of a fan of staying in Ghana.

"The food is too chilli spiced and the weather is unbearable, it's too hot in Ghana," she has been quoted saying.

Elikem on the other hand does not seem to mind staying in Zimbabwe though he, like his wife, complains about the food here saying it is not spicy as Ghanaians love their food spiced up.
