Woman's children looks like churchmate's husband

A married woman has approached the Harare Civil Court seeking a protection order against a church mate she claimed had accused her of having an affair with her husband.

This was because all the church mate's children looked like her husband, the court was told on Tuesday. Theresa Sphelile also claimed Agness Makuvise had accused her of witchcraft.

"She accuses me of sleeping with her husband and always interrogates me on why my children look like her husband," she said.

Sphelile told magistrate Ms Babra Mateko that Makuvise was making her life miserable. "She embarrasses me in front of our church mates whom she always tells that I have children with her husband," she said.

Sphelile claimed Makuvise's claims could destroy her marriage. Makuvise denied the allegations saying she was not on talking terms with Sphelile.

Ms Mateko referred the matter to her chambers.
