Shutting Down Zimbabwe, shuts internet as well

According to the information trickling in the internet is playing up in most parts of the Zimbabwe today.
Technology news website, TechZim, this morning reported that "WhatsApp is currently not working on TelOne, Liquid Telecom Zimbabwe, ZOL Zimbabwe, Telecel and Econet."
An EcoNet user contacted Bulawayo24 at 8:09am via WhatsApp asking: "Confirm if sms are working tried several times using Econet failed tried recharging the line still the same"
Another EcoNet user contacted us via WhatsApp at 8:44 am saying: "internet acting up today."
The problems with the internet connection today could be down to network congestion as most Zimbabweans are following the #ShutZimbabweDown campaign online.
