Riot cop bashed with iron bar

A member of the Zimbabwe Republic Police support unit guarding Zimsec exam papers in Gutu, Masvingo at Mupandawana Secondary school was struck with an iron bar. This is the third time such an incident has occurred.
The cop was disarmed by his attacker.
His firearm was later discovered dumped at the school play grounds.
A source familiar with the situation said: "l'm wondering why they [attackers] are not taking the guns but just bashing them. Mind you, these are riot guys, people are angry, they want to prove power, maybe."
