Mvurwi sex worker Chipo (23) who glassed a client Moses Mushonga over an egg dispute was not asked to plead to assault charges by Guruve magistrate yesterday (Friday).

Chipo was reminded out of custody to Monday the 21st of November after Mushonga's medical report was yet to be obtained from Mvurwi hospital.

Eye witnesses had a different story to tell over the brawl that occurred at Tandarayi bar on Thursday the 17th of November.

They allege the two had previously gone for a quick but tables turned when Chipo took another client after over spending Mushonga's few dollars.

"These two people were drinking together and they went at the back of the bar for a quick service but when they came back another client was waiting for Chipo so she demanded a boiled egg from Mushonga who complied and she disguised him by going to the toilet after eating the egg.

"The drunken Mushonga was left seated in the bar for sometime before getting suspicious and he followed, surprisingly he saw his mistress and an unidentified man pants down.

"Mushonga is said to have slapped Chipo twice in the face hence Chipo picked the bottle and glassed him to avoid further beatings from Mushonga and shouted (akuda kundi raper)," narrated fellow sex workers.

Meanwhile, Chipo is currently enjoying herself at the newly opened council bar in Mvurwi awaiting trial on Monday.
