Man to perform 210 hours community service for stealing number plates

A 44 year old Binga man has been sentenced to 210 hours of community service for breaking into a vehicle and stealing number plates and other vehicle accessories
Conrad Mhlanga (44) was hauled before the Binga magistrates' courts on Tuesday and pleaded guilty to theft before Stephen Ndlovu.
He was convicted and sentenced to 12 months in prison.
The sentence was then suspended on condition that he pays $359 and that he performs 210 hours of community service at Zumanana Primary School.
On 10 March, Mhlanga broke into Samson Nkomazana's car and stole a number plate, car jack, spark plugs and carburetor and gave them to a mechanic to fit them to his car.
Mhlanga was spotted driving his car with Nkomazana's number plates and a report was made to the police leading to his arrest.
