PLUMTREE - A 40-year-old Mpohoengs man, Christopher Mguni, has appeared in court facing charges of indecent assault after allegedly fondling his neighbour without her consent.
Mguni was remanded in custody to December 1 by magistrate Joshua Nembaware.
Prosecutor Sheila Nyathi told the court that sometime in December 2021, Mguni entered his neighbour's kitchen and allegedly fondled her thighs. The complainant slapped him and later informed his mother about the incident.
On November 12 this year, Mguni allegedly fondled the complainant's buttocks. She reported the matter to his brother. The following day, Mguni sent ZAR 500 through his brother as money for forgiveness, but the complainant refused and filed a police report.
The case continues.
