ZANU-PF has embarked further on a campaign targeting to recruit indigenous churches into its ideological indoctrination and 2030 unconstitutional term extension political crusade.

In a move perceived by many as a ploy to deliberately bring churches into their succession tussle between the major two factions led by incumbent first secretary, Emmerson Mnangagwa and his most powerful number two, General (Retired) Constantino Chiwenga; the ruling party welcomed participation and enrolment by membership from Gospel of God International Church formed in 1932 during their ongoing weeklong training in Chitungwiza which is conducted by Chitepo School of Ideology.

"The Chitepo School of Ideology serves as a cornerstone for fostering a profound understanding of Zimbabwe’s revolutionary ethos, national values, and principles of governance. By offering ideological orientation, the school empowers individuals with an appreciation of the country’s historical struggles, its pursuit of sovereignty, and the ongoing quest for socio-economic transformation," one of the post from ZANU-PF's internal security group announces.

"This knowledge is crucial for shaping patriotic, ethical, and visionary leaders capable of navigating contemporary challenges while upholding Zimbabwe’s sovereignty and developmental aspirations. Today Leaders of the Gospel of God International Church 1932 are undergoing this orientation at St. Mary’s Shrine, with Cde Mada, the Principal of the Chitepo School of Ideology, as the Guest of Honor, his presence signifies the importance of ideological alignment between Zimbabwe’s revolutionary heritage and modern leadership," it further announces.

"Comrade Mada's role signifies a convergence of historical wisdom and forward-thinking strategies essential for building a resilient and prosperous Zimbabwe," the post further reads.

When contacted to give clarity on the essence of summoning indigenous churches into train or enrol with the Chitepo School of Ideology, the institution's Principal, Ishmael Mada was evasive to disclose the motive behind the exercise.

"Yes there may be ongoing training and engagements with indigenous apostolic churches, but I am not at liberty to talk about it through the phone so let us meet tomorrow and have interviews so that I can explain everything to you," Mada said.

"Let us meet and have the interviews physically. I will tell you everything that you need to know," Mada promised.

Despite frantic efforts made to get further details on the motives behind the ongoing training, Mada further gives excuses (and postpone) to meet and disclose more information.

In a bid to unconstitutionally extend his term of office, Mnangagwa and his faction are trying all efforts to influence various stakeholders to endorse his candidature for a life presidency including religious groups, legislature, making deliberate and critical appointments or demotions, among other strategies meant to clinging on to power.
