The House of Divine Grace, a prominent African indigenous church led by Apostle Cacile Bagodole Moyo, has pledged to collaborate with the Zimbabwean government in a bid to tackle the growing problem of substance abuse in local communities.
This initiative aims to address the devastating impact of drug and substance abuse on individuals, families, and society as a whole.
"The church recognizes the need for a collective effort to combat substance abuse and its far-reaching consequences, including health problems, violence, financial difficulties, and social issues," Apostle Moyo said.
"The partnership will focus on promoting awareness about the dangers of substance abuse, providing support to those affected, and advocating for effective treatment and rehabilitation programs," he added.
According to Apostle Moyo, amongst the objectives of the partnership are raising awareness, where his church organises community outreach programs and educational initiatives to inform the public about the risks associated with substance abuse.
Moyo added that they will also offer counseling, mentorship, and peer-to-peer engagements.
