The Seventh Day Adventist church (SDA) world leader Dr Ted Wilson has praised the Zimbabwe government for creating a peaceful environment for worship.
Dr Wilson said this when he met Vice President Phelekezela Mphoko in Harare on Monday.
"We are here for the Revelation of Hope evangelism meetings which are the brainchild of the church in Zimbabwe to win more souls for Christ," he said.
"This shows that there is freedom of worship in this country and on behalf of the world church I want to laud the Government of Zimbabwe for that.
"We are running these evangelistic meetings concurrently with a health expo and I am pleased to say that the campaign has seen patients receiving free medical assistance in Chitungwiza. Doctors from all over the world are here to support this initiative."
Dr Wilson later rayed for the Government.
Unconfirmed reports indicate that the church is set to hold a mega church service at Barbourfieds Stadium in Bulawayo later in the month.
